The Green Estate CIC is an award-winning social enterprise which aims to grow green and resilient urban places for people and nature to thrive.
We currently work with a marketing consultancy for our strategy and have an excellent Digital Communications and Marketing Assistant but to realise our ambitious new three-year growth plan, we want to introduce a Marketing and Communications Manager.
A full job specification is provided but to draw out three key things we are looking for:
- You will be involved in the development of print, video, social media and website content. This can range from tracking down our horticulture experts between projects to confirm technical information, through to documenting large-scale events such as History Through the Ages at Sheffield Manor Lodge. As part of your application, you may want to include links to content/campaigns that you are particularly proud of in your career.
- As a social enterprise, 95% of our income comes from commercial activity, especially our nature-based solutions, including the Pictorial Meadows® range of seeds and turf. It is essential that your application highlights your B2B marketing experience and how you can help grow our brands.
- We are currently a team of 60 which means everyone works to realise our mission in more ways than just their job description. Our ideal candidate will have direct experience of working in an SME or be able to evidence their understanding that SMEs require a different way of working compared to larger functions.
