Warehouse Supervisor (One Year Fixed Term with potential to be permanent)

Salary: £23,100.00 – £24,600.00

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

The Pictorial Meadows brand originated more than 20 years ago, from an innovative and productive partnership between the University of Sheffield and The Green Estate Community Interest Company. Through a dedication to developing new and innovative approaches we now have a range of annual and perennial seed mixes and turf, as well as solutions for meadow installation, sustainable urban drainage and green roofs.

We are recruiting a Warehouse Supervisor which will be a key role in the management of the Pictorial Meadows Seed Production Warehouse. You will manage a small team of part time staff that ensures the mixing, dispatch, stock taking and quality control of our seed products. Ensuring that our customers receive their orders as expected.

The post holder will be organised and reliable, with an eye for detail and have a proven track record in adhering to systems and processes. They will be a team player as the role involves collaborating with a number of teams across the company.

This role is currently operating on site full time from 08:00 – 16:00 but there are opportunities for flexible working arrangements.

Hospitality Manager

Fixed Term for 18 months with potential for growth

Salary: £26,574.00 – £30,900.00 per annum

Hours: 37.5 per week, working Tuesday to Saturday.  There will be a need to work flexibly to ensure event delivery, evening working can also be required.

Post Title: Production Operative (Green Waste Recycling) (permanent)

Salary: £13,390.65 based on the full time equivalent of £22,317.75

Working hours: 22.5 hours per week, Wednesday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.00pm

The Green Estate CIC is an award-winning company, recognised by the Kings Award for Sustainability and the Pro Landscaper Sustainability & Biodiversity Awards. We host the Pictorial Meadows brand, a collection of wildflower meadow seeds and turf that create long lasting high impact displays that are climate resilient and increase pollinators.

This role will be responsible for assisting in the general running of our Production Department, including Green Waste recycling, production of Pas100 soils and substrates, Pictorial Meadows seed and supporting other parts of the production department.  

We are looking for an organised and reliable Operative who has an eye for detail, has a track record in adhering to systems and processes and who is a team player.

The role will require operating our vehicles, such as the loading shovel and telehandler so we are looking for candidates with a driving license and either prior experience or a willingness to learn.

Horticulture Innovation Manager

We are now looking for a Horticulture Innovation Manager to work with our Production and Commercial Landscape teams to continue that legacy of developing high quality plant and soil products, that provide solutions to the changing needs of the climate and urban environments. While also ensuring that quality assurance and production processes for our existing products continue to be effective in meeting customer needs.

We are looking for some with a strong horticultural understanding and systems-based approach as this job requires strict quality control, plant husbandry, and good record keeping. You will be required to build and maintain good relationships and communications with external partners, suppliers, customers, and internal staff, as well as leading, coaching and developing a small production team.
