Garden Featuring Pictorial Meadows Turf Wins SGD Award

In February, Garden Designer Emily Crowley-Wroe won the Society of Garden Designers ‘Fresh Designer’ Award for her Modern Cottage Garden project, which featured Pictorial Meadows’ Purple Haze and Woodland Fringe turf.

The turf was used in the garden to create a ‘meadow maze’ designed to ‘encourage slow movement through the fruit trees to a curved seat nestled in the wildflowers’.

The SGD Judging Panel said it was ‘a cleverly laid out space that led to a dramatic transformation and the creation of a very welcoming garden.’

Emily said, ‘I’ve absolutely loved watching this meadow develop and experiencing all its waves of beauty right through the year until its cut in February. It’s so very beautiful and humming with life.’
