Update on works at Manor Fields Park (27 Oct 2023)

First of all, we would like to thank you for your patience as we make improvements to the park. 

The site set-up to deliver the wetland project (Sustainable urban Drainage Scheme or SuDS) is complete and includes a temporary office and welfare facilities.

You might have noticed that the fencing covers a large area of the park. This is for safety, but it also enables our engineering team to access the site, their welfare offices and the main working area. The ground is currently being dug out (weather dependent) so we can begin to form the basin/pond area.

The recent weather will contribute to the digging of the pond looking rather muddy, but GPS is being used to direct the vehicles to dig to the exact levels. Dependent on weather, we hope this will be completed in a couple of weeks’ time.
