2024 Bonfire Night Cancelled

On behalf of The Green Estate Community Interest Company, Manor and Castle Development Trust, MASKK and the Friends of Manor Fields Park, it is with great sadness we are announcing that there will be no community bonfire or fireworks on the 5th November 2024 in Manor Fields Park.

Community groups and volunteers have helped organise this annual event in Manor Fields Park for over ten years. It has been a huge success with thousands of people attending who have enjoyed the celebrations to watch the fireworks. 

This not-for-profit event has grown over the years and has always been free for the local community to enjoy. It has relied on people giving up their time to help, and generous donations and grants to help cover the costs. 

Unfortunately, we are unable to raise the necessary funds, and have reduced staff and volunteer capacity to help organise such a big event. There are additional health and safety requirements and also environmental reasons as to why we cannot go ahead with the event this year.

We ask for the community to stay safe on bonfire night and attend other organised events and not have their own.
