Join us on Sunday 9 June for a jam-packed day of medieval fun as the Ferrers Household take you back in time to the Wars of the Roses!
Get in the medieval spirit with a range of exciting activities, including:
● Archery, kids’ jousting, dressing up and shield making craft
● Readying yourself for battle as you join in with bill drills and learn how to become a squire
● Exploring the Ferrers’ craftsmanship at their forge where you’ll also see pole lathing
● Fighting demonstrations
The Ferrers are a fifteenth century reenactment society portraying the highly skilled craftspeople under the command of Sir Walter Devereux – a loyal supporter of Richard of York during the Wars of the Roses.
The Ferrers Household will also be joined by the Savage Household, who will be on hand to share their knowledge of medieval food, clothing, leatherwork, games, armour, archery and an array of weapons.
