The Green Flag Award scheme recognises and rewards well-managed parks and green spaces, setting the benchmark standard for the management of recreational outdoor spaces across the UK. Receiving the award for the tenth year running is testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff and volunteers who look after the park.

The Green Estate has been managing Manor Fields Park on behalf of Sheffield City Council for around twenty years. What was once a neglected derelict allotment space that attracted anti-social behaviour has now become one of the best parks in Sheffield.

Manor Fields Park is an extremely well-maintained park that is safe, welcoming for all, and good for people and wildlife. Part of the park is designated as a Local Nature Reserve and the naturalist design allows people to explore and enjoy a variety of natural features, including beautiful flower meadows, ponds and streams. Many people also enjoy playing in the playgrounds and having family picnics with great views over Sheffield.

Recently, The Green Estate has been involved with the development of a Sustainable Urban Drainage System in the park, which will help reduce flood risk and create new wildlife habitats. You can find out more about the project here.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved, our partners and the local Manor communities who enjoy and support the park in so many ways.’
