The Lords and Ladies of the Manor of Hallamshire

The Manor of Sheffield is particularly unusual in that its lordship has passed, by direct female descent, through the hands of only four noble families since the Norman Conquest. This talk traces the fascinating story of these families and how they influenced the development of the town down the ages.
Peter is a local historian and author.
