This tour and narrative takes you on a serendipitous journey around the counties of Derbyshire and South Yorkshire, exploring the strange, happy and tragic coincidences of history and circumstance. This is a talk meant to stir the imagination and provides a unique look at some of the locations we simply take for granted. John has researched underlying themes that link places, names, events and historical fact together in a manner that you will find uniquely different.
John is a local historian and guide at Bolsover Castle.
