Join us for a jam packed day of Medieval fun as the Ferrers take you back in time to the Wars of the Roses.

Sunday 9th June

Meet the Ferrers Household a 15th Century Re-enactment Society portraying the retained men and women under the command of our Lord. With activities such as archery, kids jousting and outdoor games all to get you in the medieval spirit.

Meet highly skilled craftspeople that represent the household staff of Sir Walter Devereux. Sir Walter was a loyal supporter of Richard of York, 3rd Duke of York during the War of the Roses. Ready yourself for battle as you join in with bill drills, enjoy have a go archery and explore their craftsman ship at their forge where you’ll also see pole lathing.

There will be a selection of outdoor games, sandpit, children’s jousting and dressing up in the turret house and with our embroidery group. We will be offering history guided tours (1030 and 1200 ) as well as self-led family trails as well as have a go activities. 

Bring a picnic to enjoy in our historic deer park, visit the Rhubarb Shed Café (booking advised, take out available).

£4.75 Adult, £2.75 Child, £15.00 Family (2+3), Under 2s are free of charge but still need a ticket

10:30 am – Site Opens

10:40 am – Archery Demo (repeats at 2:30 pm)

11:00 am – HAG Archery (repeats at 3:00 pm)

12:30 pm – Bill Drill (repeats at 2:00pm)

16:00 pm – Site closes
