‘A Tree for Everyone’ Campaign Launched at The Green Estate

On 13 March, the Mayor of South Yorkshire, Oliver Coppard, launched the ‘A Tree for Everyone’ campaign at The Green Estate.

The launch saw the first trees of the project being planted in the grounds between The Green Estate’s main offices and Sheffield Manor Lodge.

The aim of the project is to support a cleaner, greener and better off South Yorkshire by working with local communities and stakeholders to plant more trees and create more green spaces for current and future generations.

The project will see 1.4 million trees planted across South Yorkshire – one tree for every person who lives in the region.

The Green Estate’s CEO, Roz Davies, said, ‘We were delighted that Oliver Coppard and team chose The Green Estate to launch the ‘A Tree for Everyone’ campaign. With care, the trees we planted today will become a beautiful tiny forest – part of a green and resilient urban place for future generations.’
