King’s Award for Enterprise Celebration

On 16 April 2024, The Green Estate was officially presented with the King’s Award for Enterprise trophy by Dame Hilary Chapman DBE, His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of South Yorkshire.

During the celebration, Dame Hilary was introduced to staff from The Green Estate’s five main departments: Hospitality, Parks, Commercial Landscapes, Heritage, and Business Services.

Afterwards, the official presentation ceremony took place at Manor Oaks House.

About the King’s Award

On 21 April 2023, it was announced that The Green Estate had won the inaugural and prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development.

The King’s Award recognises outstanding achievement by UK businesses in the categories of innovation, international trade, sustainable development and promoting opportunity through social mobility.

The Green Estate was one of only fifteen companies to receive the award in the Sustainable Development category.
