Customer Success Assistant

(one year fixed term with potential to go permanent)

Salary: £23,100.00 per annum

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.00am–4.00pm, on site

The Green Estate Community Interest Company has a mission to grow engaging, adaptive and resilient urban places in Sheffield, the UK and beyond. We are looking for someone to join our newly created Customer Success Team, which will support the customer journey from that first point of contact, to building relationships and converting leads into new business.

You will work with fantastic brands which sit within The Green Estate. Such as Pictorial Meadows seed and turf, which won the Pro Landscape Sustainability & Biodiversity award last year and Sheffield Manor Lodge which provides the opportunity for truly magical weddings and celebrations, as you can see from their Instagram.

Not only will you be able to take pride in the high-quality products you are promoting, you will know that all the sales are invested back into the company and our community. Whether this is through preservation of Manor’s heritage by ensuring the Turret House, where Mary Queen of Scot’s was interred, is preserved and accessible for the people of Sheffield, or through our Growing Communities team which offers opportunities to access and learn horticulture and food growing skills.

This role is based predominantly at our Sheffield site but may require occasional travel for events and promotion. Wedding and Venue Support

(Fixed Term until 31st December 2024)

Salary: £2,975.70 based on FTE of £22,317.75 (please note: this salary is based on 1st May start date, actual salary dependent on start date and how much overtime you take on)

Working hours: The working hours for this post are Saturdays, 7.5 hours per day between 8am and 6pm.  There will be opportunities for overtime and time off in lieu (TOIL) systems are in place

As part of our friendly hospitality team, you will be key in supporting the delivery of events, weddings and venue hire, helping to ensure all our customers have a fantastic experience with us. You will be a key part of delivering across all our audiences, whether fun and exciting weddings, professional corporate events or celebrations of life. 

With a love of working with people, an eye for detail and confident manner you’ll be a crucial member of our events team.

Wedding and Venue Assistant

Salary: £22,308 – £23,100 per annum

Working hours: The working hours for this post are 37.5 hours per week. This will be on a rota basis from Tuesday – Sunday and will include a variety of different shifts. You must be able to work in the evenings up until 01:30 and the majority of Saturdays as this is a popular day for our wedding bookings. Overtime and Time Off In lieu are available.

Parks Assistant

(One Year Fixed Term with potential to go permanent)

Salary: £22,308 per annum

The Green Estate is a community interest company whose purpose is to grow engaging, adaptive and resilient urban places. We are one of only 15 organisations who the King selected for the prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development. 

We are looking for a new assistant to join our experienced and well-established team of Parks Operatives, who maintain and develop quality green space in urban settings, including Manor Fields Park which has won the prestigious Green Flag Award multiple years in a row.

This role is ideal for someone looking to start or develop their career in landscape development and parks maintenance. Especially for an individual who can work as part of a team and learn from our skilled operatives. You would learn about effective grounds maintenance, proper tool and machinery use and how to maintain a professional presence while working in a public space.

To apply for this role you must be committed to good Health & Safety practices to ensure you and your coworkers aren’t harmed and that the organisation meets its legal requirements. You must also be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check as we maintain contracts for Schools.
