Marvellous Meadows at The Green Estate CIC

The Green Estate is celebrating National Meadows Day on Sunday 5 July with the return of Marvellous Meadows!

This is the one event of the year where we open up our entire site to the public.

On the day, you will be able to:

● Enjoy exclusive access across our beautiful Manor Lane site

● Go on expert-led tours of Sheffield Manor Lodge and the Pictorial Meadows® trial fields

● Take part in fun meadow-themed activities at the Discovery Centre

● Meet The Green Estate’s staff, volunteers and partners we’re working with across our site

● Find out more about The Green Estate’s work to grow green and resilient urban places for people and nature to thrive

Note: If you purchase a Green Estate Experience ticket, this will allow you to go on any two tours of your choice.

Self-led tours

Enjoy a self-led tour of The Green Estate with our site map, which highlights key areas of interest.

You will be able to pick up a printed copy of the site map upon your arrival from a member of staff.

Entry

Entry times are 10am and 12pm. You can stay onsite at Sheffield Manor Lodge until 4pm.

Parking

This event takes place across our whole site along Manor Lane.

Parking is available at Manor Oaks House and Sheffield Manor Lodge.

Additional roadside parking is also available.

Where can I purchase food/drinks?

Food will be served inside Manor Oaks House, and you will be able to purchase drinks at the bar.

The Rhubarb Shed Café near Manor Oaks House will be open from 10am, however we strongly recommend booking a table in advance as it can get very busy. You can book a table by calling 07375 366 429.

Drinks and snacks will also be available to purchase at the Discovery Centre, and you are very welcome to have a picnic in our grounds.
