Running our own enterprises makes us self sufficient and provides jobs and opportunities for many others. This all has a really important trickle back impact in our neighbourhood increasing local wealth through cash, skills and ambition.
Over the years we’ve tried lots of different things but generally they have all been about ‘putting our green estate to work’.
We compete competitively with the private sector trading across the UK but the way we run and manage our business is all about building capacity for our internal and external community – not for personal or shareholder profit.
We receive no government subsidy or core grants and depend entirely on our business success to survive.
